When you think of artists, you think of Creativity. Imagination. Light. Shadow. Color. Skill. Talent. Ability. When you think of art, you think of Oils. Pastels. Acrylics. Pencils. Glass. Watercolors. Sculptures. Photographs. Fibers. When put together, the results are creations of Beauty. Starkness. Unreality. Reality. Shock. Surprise. Happiness. Sadness.
Always involving. Always passionate. That is the forte of the members of the Allied Artists Association of San Diego (AAASD)-a group of many artists with one passion. Each artist strives to involve each viewer, causing wonderment at what the artist's creativity achieves. Through exhibits at upscale businesses, in major public and commercial buildings, and in galleries throughout Southern California, the many award-winning artists of AAASD strive to present to you some of the finest art created. It may be two-dimensional abstracts, figures, land or seascapes, portraits, nudes, city or street scenes, religious . . . well, you choose. Or it may be three-dimensional sculptures of humans, animals, shapes, or unusual media such as fibers or glass.
The Association is composed of no more than 100 members selected by international and national award-winning artists.
