You may have questions about aaaSD.  Here’s where you can go to get answers.

Artists interested in applying for membership may do so by email sent to our Membership Director (see email address below).  There is no application fee.   Applications must include (1) full name, postal address, telephone number and email address.  (2)  A statement indicating what medium(s) the artist works in and the education and training background in art.  (3)  A listing of major exhibitions and shows in which the artist has participated, taking care to mention those into which jurying was required, and a listing of honors or awards received.  (4)  A statement of why the artist wants to become a member of aaaSD and what the artist will do to be an active supporter of the group.  (5)  An indication of experience in other art organizations.  (6)  Your web site address, if applicable.  If you do not have a web site, please include eight jpeg images of representative samples of your work with your e-application.

Upon receipt of the application, it will be reviewed by the Board of Directors.  Applicants will generally be advised of the Board’s action within four weeks.   Our organization generally restricts membership to about 100 active professional or extremely skilled artists.  Notification of your acceptance/rejection will be sent to you by email by our president or membership director.   Members are expected to pay annual dues as established by the Board of Directors, currently $60.
