In addition to creating thrown vessels, I maintain an interest in architecture including the extraordinary style of Spanish architect Antonio Gaudi. I have become increasingly fascinated with texture, which is also seen in Gaudi`s work. The abstract and intricate forms are ones I have incorporated into my work of a hand built-slab technique. To these forms I apply various patterns and textures and create free form, architectural objects. Specifically these forms become vessels, baskets, wall and table vases.
Everds, Joan
I strive to achieve a sense of classic elegance in my images. The focus of some of my work is still life (created in my home). I have long admired the paintings of Paul Cezanne and Henri Fantin-Lator, and the beautiful Polaroid photography of Marie Cosindas and have been greatly influenced by their still life compositions.I strive to achieve a sense of classic elegance in my images. Flowers, Susanne
While portraying the human form, I am experimenting with layers of paint combined with various other media and surfaces. Ultimately, the goal is to present the figure in an expressive manner that captures an underlying mood.
Gassman, Vi
Painting has been my love as long as I can remember. Having been paralyzed at age 9 by polio, I turned to art as a substitute for playground activities. After private painting lessons, art was my elective in high school, my major in college, and has remained my passion ever since. My favorite subject is the human figure. Most Saturdays find me drawing from the live model. Afterwards I convert these drawings to paintings in my studio. I try not to capture a likeness, but rather an interpretation of mood and character. In addition to figure work, I also paint abstracts. Abstract painting allows my total freedom, and I lose myself in color, line and texture. Whether working with the real or with the abstract, my goal is to present exciting and moving images. In all my work, I hope that my viewer can sense my verve for life and my love for art.
Gould, Steve ---- www.sjgould@sbcglobal.net
Over the past thirty years, Steve has made numerous trips to many parts of the world, always taking pictures - both above water and below. Photography has allowed him to capture the special sense and flavor of each country: the novelty of the scenery, the personalities of the people, the different ways they have of interacting with their environment.

Haslett, Roseann
When we go about our ordinary living, we take advantage of the little moments that hook an experience together. It is my object to snatch one of those moments and express it in a painting. Most of the time, I choose to express a moment through a portrait. Because so much communication comes from facial expressions, I enjoy capturing a look, that, to the viewer, may say many things, such as peace, sorrow, elation, fright, love, mournfulness, or understanding. It is my intent for the viewer to identity with those brief moments, and those expressions, and remember the same feelings.
Hinckley, Sharon
Sharon prefers to work from life. Her ``plein-air`` style of painting reflects her love of Light and Color. Her vivid watercolors reflect the beauty of our world. Sharon now resides in La Jolla, California, with her husband and Sheltie. She also teaches watercolor and two types of yoga.
Keeling, Katherine
The work of Katherine Keeling is alive and engaging, a reflection of the artist herself. Residing in La Jolla, California, Katherine has carved a niche with unique color combinations and interesting subject matter. Her passions often grace her paintings. She derives her inspirations from music, joy of everyday activities and the rich landscapes of the places she has lived and visited. Her emphasis is color and form, the mystical images that liberate the unconscious mind and embrace an abstract, passionate expression of feelings, mood and the spontaneity of romantic themes.
Mansfield, Carol
Paintings are created in acrylic, on paper or canvas, some with the addition of collage elements.
Art is developed by the artist and completed by the response of the viewer.
Marks,Raye Anne
Raye Anne Marks is a bright talent who has developed a Bravura style of painting in oils in bold and luminous colors. Each brushful of paint is laid on as pure and clean as if it were a mosaic, yielding award winning paintings. Her work is characterized by bold, simple patterns of lights and darks, and paint applied with directness.
Negulescu, Irina
Irina’s Romanian background, coupled with emotions, inspire the colors in her paintings. She fell in love with the deep reds, blues and gray’s years ago. The colors are narcotic. They can take you back to the nostalgic Romanian heritage the second you lay your eyes on them. These are her favorite colors and she uses them in most of her fine art. You’ll notice that most of her recent work has an under water theme. This is something that is very difficult to portray in art, and if done well enough, makes the painting extraordinary.
